[quote=andys]8/14/23 I was catching a few bass with the 7.5" Grape Worm until the damn pickerel moved in. Every cast I would hook one but couldn't land them because of the weeds along the shore line. They would get hung up in the weed and I couldn't left them out. Had to break my line and start over. Must have hooked and lost six or eight of them. The one in the picture is a small one. the ones I lost were large ones. All on the Grape worm.[/quote
Use weedless, higher test line, stiff rod, good hook set. I've had good luck on grape worms

Hey andys, another stager told me to look up this post.
I'm wanting to melt down scrap copper and pour it into moulds and make jewelry.
With your reference to being a copper Smith, I was wondering if you could give me any tips or advice

No I can't give any tips on that. We just did pipe work. My Father Probably could have helped you. He was a real coppersmith. They say he made a little coffee pot spot lid handle out of a copper penny. My Grandfather was also a coppersmith. Good luck with your jewelry making.
I have plenty of pictures of plenty of fish, but as yet have not figured out how to post them. Like I said, I've enjoyed your photos and even looked up your location, close to the Delaware line. It's good that you can catch so much off the bank. I've fished in the Choptank and at Saxis, VA, but mainly on the other side of the Bay. (Ancient history)
I'd recommend that you put temperate bass/true bass/genus Morone in your search bar to compare yellow bass and white perch, along with white bass and striper, the other members of that family of fish. JG.

If you're going to melt copper you'll need a furnace and a crucible to melt it in. Proper safety gear, a leather apron, gauntlets and a high temp face shield would be what I would use. Search Google and YouTube for melting copper, I'm sure there have to be some videos.
