Rick and Alli have it now. Ricks grandmother and grand father bought it the 60’s I think. Grandfather passed and Helen (grandmother) ran it for years. Take Alli the hottest pickles you can find and you will have a friend for life!!!
Tell her and Rick hi from Dave Stoffer past member of the Lawrence, Ks or Marty Thomas group. Marty passed and they put his ashes in Eagle Lake this last July.
You will be fishing Tug Boat and Irene’s rock for walleye. Little Bottle and Wickersham for pike. Rick will give you all the help you need to find fish. Can’t remember dock guys name he has been there a few years.
If you want to call me before I can give you some information or call me after and let me know how you did. Dave 785-766-0600.

Very kind of you to give offer your phone number. Paul the fellow I’m going with has been going there since 1989. Now that he is retired goes twice a year. He has map of the lake he records his success. I feel like I am going with a guide. I’m very excited

Good Luck Papa J!! You should have a great time. Send picts and Have Fun, and stay safe. God Bless your wife for her support! Mine just wants me to go away, Fishing, Hunting, it don’t matter! 😁 But never tells me not to go, so that’s still a plus.

When Paul asked if I wanted to go I told him I yes but needed to check with my wife. When I asked her she responded “I’ll help you pack”

Where are you going? Fly in Outpost?

I have been to five different lakes and they all fish a little differently.

Most had a good stock of northern. Almost any spinner bait will work well for northern and small mouth bass. Be sure to take mid sized gold and silver Johnson spoons. This time of year the lily pads and grass will be thick along the shores of the bays so weedless lures are best, and the northern will be hiding back in them.

Don’t forget a good rain suit.

I caution you that you shouldn’t go unless you can plan on going in the future. Because it is so great it will become a habit. I have been about 25 times since my first trip in 1992.

In my younger days I spent 3 summers working at a camp on Lake of the Woods and even took that green canoe that the grandson enjoys on a 28 day trip from Northern Ontario to Hudson Bay. More recently a fishing trip to another part of LOTW. Each experience provided all the fish we wanted.
