Gator Too
Great report. How deep were you?
Thank you!
I was running from the Whitestone Bridge out to the End of the Rappahanock Spit. Water in that area varies but all over 40 feet. Over 3 days I picked up 15 Spanish, most in the 16-18 inch range but 2 were 21/22. There are some ledges on the North side of the river running parrallel to the main Channel out to the end of the spit. Almost all the action was 50 yards or so off the ledges./
How many do you keep? Are you eating them the same day?

All/ We eat same day when just caught/ Smoke the rest. They are excellent to smoke!!!!!!! our friends die for them when smoked!!!
How well do they keep smoked?
If properly brined, and then cold smoked, 2-3 weeks. If smoke at high temp they do not keep as well, but still 2 weeks. They r never around that long!!!!!
Gatertoo- That was the best and most concise fishing report I have seen in a long, long time. Thanks for that! See youout there
Have you tried the same area recently? I'm new to the area and don't really know whats going on this time of year.
Thank you,
Tim
