Kinda new to the whole saltwater fishing scene. Can anyone out there give me any insights on fishing at the Woodland Beach fishing pier ? Looks like it might be pretty good at high tides. What can you fish for there ?
Never fished there but a bit of squid cut in strips or a piece of clam will let you know if there are f I sh there.
White perch and catfish mostly. Occasional striped bass, but mostly shorts. Use bloodworm (best) or fish bites with small hooks for perch. Cut bait for catfish. Good luck.
PS white perch are tasty. Learn to filet them and think about fish tacos😊
Quite a few years ago there were good croaker runs there as well. Definitely had a different experience there 1night when a couple ladies of the night came on the pier looking for attention. I never seen that happen anywhere else before
