I'm living in Oregon now, the Salem area and looking for places to fish. I've done Walling pond and Walter With. Looking for bigger, better places. I fish from the bank. I also like to fish for trout, catfish and bass on occasion. Any tips on where to find some good fishing? Thanks.

You might look at St Louis ponds North of Salem near Woodburn. Good bank access an number of ponds.

You can try what some ppl call Freeway Lakes just south of Albany. I-5 goes right over them. Lots of places to fish from the bank. It’s been quite a while since I’ve fished there but some nice sized trout have been pulled out of there. The Santiam River in Jefferson from the boat dock can be fruitful for Steelhead as well as Green’s Bridge a few miles southeast of Jefferson. My Mom caught and really nice Steelhead out of there as did her husband which was easily 25 pounds.

I also am in Salem. Don't forget Detroit lake. My favorite spot is off the dam
