I have been fishing at Lucky Peak the past 3 days. We re marking fish across from th Marina about 50 to 100 yards out from shore near the docks & picnic area. No luck in catching any fish. we are trolling @ 1.5 to 2mph and fishing at depths of 25 to 60 feet where the fish are showing up on our fish finder . Using Silver/pink dodger and a pink spinner fly.
Any help ypu could give me would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Bob Kaehler

Hey Bob, I wish I could help but I’m in the same boat (no pun intended) I’ve tried dodgers, flashers, hoochies, plugs, red corn, yellow corn, shrimp…… hell Im about to try a worm and a bobber! But I haven’t tried parking on top and jigging for them yet. I know the temps are quite warm down to about 90’. I was seeing around 60.9F. Perhaps we need to go deeper still?

Thanks for the update-I thought it was just me! I was marking a lot of fish across from the marina at 25-45 ft about 100 yds off shore-couldn't get a bite!

The only thing that has worked for me this year is a #5 or #7 Black and Silver Rapala. Fished on top of the water at 1.5 - 2.0 mph with a lot of boat movement. No extra weight unless conditions dictate it. No extra bait or Dodgers or Flashers on with the Rapala. Tried other colors but most success with Black and Silver

Really? That is interesting! Has that continued to work in the last few weeks?

Right on!! We’ll hope it keeps up for you and I’ll just have to go out and give that a try one these mornings.

Went again yesterday very early. 1st "Fish On" after 15 minutes. Again, black and silver Rapala. Same routine and approach. Hey, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Also, getting good results on another Rapala...Team Esko #7 Steel Foil & Chrome colors. They troll down to about 9' but different action. Caught 10 Koks and a few trout. Marked fish 12'-45'. Pulled 75'-100'- of 6# mono.

Very nice!! And I agree if you got something working then don’t mess with it! I appreciate the advice and I’m hoping to give it a try in the next couple days!

Was out to Boise for 10 days (6 September-16) we fished hard 3 separate days, marked a million fish 20-35’ but caught only 3. Water too warm, fish there but very uncooperative! Had at the very least, 15+ hours trolling
