Another day another Bass.

well of course yesterday, I did my daily fishing. Lots of cast. Fish were biting real soft. I managed to catch one though. I am having a time of it using my new Pole. Lots of backlashes. I only had 6 lb test to spool it with. Line is too fine, it was getting behind the spool. Pole is a lot longer than what I've been using. Have any advice for a learner on a new bass rod?

Up your line alittle, at least 10 lb and no less than a 1/4 oz lure. Then practice! Use your spinning rod for the lighter stuff! Tight lines!

Fishing line diameter plays a large part in casting abilities. The “BRAND OF LINE” also comes into play. How the reel was loaded with the fishing line can make or break your casting abilities. Type of line will make a difference also. Good luck with your fishing...

Keep practicing with it. When you get the hang of it you will probably love it.

Just wondering if you ever used one of those mini micro spinning outfits for pan fish? Understand they are great for travel.
