It's definately different! I'm thinking it MIGHT be an old dinosaur fossil but I'd be willing to bet it's from something more recent. The DNR could tell you.

I agree a natural history museum or quit possibly the University of Michigan or Michigan State. Maybe they can identify it.

Well it was stated and it certainly was a turtle. I learned that the vertebrae are attached permanently to the shell something I never knew. Not exactly flexible.

Good deal Cannondel. Used to live Up North in Atlanta myself. Retired down here in Alabama and it's been too hot to go outside let alone go fishing.
