Does anyone know of any small streams in the Spokane/Coeur d'alene that have good smallmouth fishing.
Does the Little Spokane have smallmouth? How about the Colville River.
Never seen a small mouth in a creek. They like larger flowing waters with a rocky or sandy bottom.

If you don’t mind a 2 hour drive. There are LOTS of smallmouth at the confluence of the Grand Ronde and Snake Rivers in both rivers. South of Clarkston but in Washington.
Yes I have wanted to fish there but too far with the price of fuel.

Have you tried going for Northern Pike at the upper end of Grand Coulee lake?? No limit!!
I haven't, but there is no limit on northern pike anywhere here in Washington or Idaho, the Calispell Tribe is netting them in the Pend oreille River.

Right. I meant Lake Roosevelt (FDR Lake). But I guess they haven't gotten down that far yet. Lots of bass in Lake Roosevelt. Still a drive though.

Thanks for the info. There are smallmouth in the Spokane River arm of Lake Roosevelt and above the Long Lake Dam (Lake Spokane). The Pend Oreille River has good smallmouth but is about an hr away too
