Been inactive. Taught my boys to fish from the boat, love trolling. Nowadays, shorebound with two grandchildren learning to fish the Pend Orielle River. Looking for productive shore access around Ione or Metaline Falls. Will be looking for bass next year, but am looking for bluegill or whatever in the meantime. They loved their first trip, have to follow through!

Never have had much luck in the river but I have fished the chain of lakes above Tiger for decades. Some of them have rainbows, frater lake has cutthroat and the rest are multi species lakes. Caught to small largemouth in leo today and a rainbow at gillette. Good dock at gillette (Beaver Lodge resort) and dock fishing is very reasonable. Good luck to you and the kids.

Sorry you are 10 years too late. Your grandkids would have been thrilled at the tremendous pike fishery then
