Headed up to Tahoe today and putting in just enough gas to get me up there.
I've got 15 gals. in the garage and that's more than enough to get me around up there for the week. Then I'll drive down to Carson City to Costco there and fill the truck. It's about a dollar a gal. less down there than in California.
Plus we do more shoppin down there. There's also no CRV tax in Nevada so a 30 pack of beer is bout 3 dollars cheaper.
Headed up to Tahoe today and putting in just enoug... (show quote)

California Redemption Value. Your supposed to get it back when you recycle the containers.

I paid $4.49 at Costco a couple of weeks ago. At your major stations, regular goes for the low to mid $5.00. I think diesel is close to $6… but I think it’s all gone up a little in the last week… 🐟on

Well, got gas at Costco today and it’s up $0.20 to $4.69 for regular… 🐟on

Bought gas today at Costco, only paid $4.54 per gal. Good thing I didn't need Premium, it would have cost me $5.09. of course I charged it, all I have to do is pay for it now. Forgot to see what diesel was going for, truck is full.

We buy food mostly at Krogers and have their credit card. Every time we buy $100 worth of food, gift cards, etc, there we get $.10 per gallon off at the pump. I filled up at the pump yesterday and got $1.45 a gallon discount. So far this year we've saved over $500 at Krogers. You might look into that.

You’re really in a confined space. NO California is NOT the ONLY place that does it. Read a bottle or can it shows right on the container where and how much.

If you join Bottle Drop you get 20% more than the value on the container ( state located ) at the location you take a voucher out of the Bottle Drop kiosk.

So $100 is actually $120

In 1971, Oregon passed the first bottle bill (also known as a deposit law) in the United States, requiring refundable deposits on all beer and soft drinkcontainers. By 1986, ten states (over one-quarter of the U.S. population) had enacted some form of beverage container deposit law or bottle bill.

A guy I use to work with had a lot to do with it starting. His name is Ed Druback
