I'm with you, Steve ! Don't remember ever seeing 125°,
but I have seen it hit 121° here
in Mesa ! Don't really miss and
not comfortable with those heat levels; I just tolerate it and prefer the 'dry' heat to our current
cold and wet weather ! Also strongly prefer it to the snow,
ice, sleet and frigid temps back home ! I'll put up with three
months of excessive heat for
the nine months of decent
weather as opposed to five months of crap followed by
seven months of 'crapshoot';
you just never know what to expect for weather the other
three seasons !

Don't know what you're holding
up in your photo , but it looks mighty impressive ! Lake trout, maybe? Walleye ? Seems like one of your Illinois neighbors did himself proud, recently; they
now have a new State Record smallmouth caught out of
Monroe Harbor, Lake Michigan !
That new record 'smallie'
weighed in at 7 lbs. 3 oz., an impressive smallmouth no
matter where it was caught !
Sure wouldn't mind catching such a beast myself; maybe when I finally get to fish Lake Havasu !

If fisherman only knew where the largest concentrations of Smallmouth Bass are located in Southern Lake Michigan...
