I’m in the market for a new pair of shades! I’d be using them for shallow freshwater and saltwater fishing. I also work at a fish hatchery, so I really want something that cuts through the water well. Suggestions?

I love my Costas.

Costas are the best polarized fishing glasses made.

Costas have been number one on my list so far. I always had Oakley sunglasses and I just haven’t been all that impressed.

I have a pair of Costas and a pair of Smiths, both are really nice. I prefer light tint/high contrast lenses for max fish-vision, but I am rarely fishing in the full sun.

Costas (glass lenses) are hard to beat.
Oakley also has the prism lenses that offer a couple different options in tint/contrast.

The Prism Shallow water lenses are amazing. I have them in prescription now but still have a set of the lenses for non-prescription sitting around.

I haven’t been all that impressed with my Oakley’s over the years, but I haven’t had the prizm lenses yet. I’ll keep them in the running, thanks.

Couldn’t recommend Costas enough with the 580G lenses.

If your not on a budget, Maui Jim, if your on a budget, b.n.u.s. on Amazon, if your on the salt water a lot, glass lens will hold up better than plastic.

Try on a pair of Maui Jim`s and then Costa`s 580 lens. I stuck with Maui Jim`s after seeing slight difference with reflections and clarity! Years later ordered RX sunglass`s for my declining sight too! Gotta pay for best sight available. Wife likes her Costa`s for style but I have to say Maui Jim`s for best sight.
