Hey guys, I'm new to the Olympia area and I was wondering if there are any lakes around this area not named American or Black that I could take my Arima out on and check everything out and maybe attempt to catch a trout or a kokanee while I'm at it ?

Welcome to the fishingstage Kilo, I live in central Florida and don't think I can help you with that, but someone should be able to help you in your area. And we like pictures of your catch thanks, Chuck
Black lake and lake st Claire are good
Best in my book, Hicks lake. Ward lake for Kokanee, St.Clair for my third choice. Good luck. Farther out, Summit lake, trout and Kokanee, beautiful.
Thanks Everybody, My first priority is to figure out somewhere not to far away that preferably has a decent boat ramp and dock, to test the motors and electric downriggers before I take my Arima out if the Sound. Catching a couple trout and kokanee at the same time would be a bonus. I appreciate all the info ! Thanks Again !
At Claire is very deep good place to tryout the downrigger

Lake Cushman and Summit are two kokanee/trout lakes for my Arima!
You want kokanee Google Summit lake for directions go I-5 to hwy 101 west towards ocean Google the rest been years since I been there try maggots, worms, green power bait. I was born in Olympia ton of good lakes to fish there. Try Patterson, Hicks and Long lake
Patterson and Long lake chock full of Milfoil weeds.
And when the sun comes out onBlack lake- more idiots on ski dos than flies on a dead horse.
Summit Lake, Ward Lake both have Kokanee. Hicks Lake and Offutt lake have good trout fishery.
