I'll vouch for the treble. And the 5 inch fish that managed to put it in my finger.

No, thinking of getting a gold tooth to go with my cigar, what do you think
ranger, when you see the price of a regular replacement you may change your mind on a gold one, I've heard you can get a deal on them down at the funeral home ๐๐

Oh man that is just cold,
My dad broke his dentures biting sinkers several times, It always made me squeamish so I never have.
Word to the not so wise. Biting line can do the same thing.

Oh no!!! You still have a great smile...but ouch on that tooth! Nice trout by the way too...
I just had a couple of tooth implants done from loss (too much soda pop...so I'm told by the dentist). They seem to be working out very well...just like the originals. Maybe a front tooth could be a candidate?
Wish it was my case all my upper teeth are gone but bone disease is why my loss is not implantable. Dentures only way for me
Thank God fish is soft lol. Nice catch though!
Never bit on a split shot to close it, simply because I am of the belief that that amount of "crush" on your line, particularly mono, can't be a good thing. Same reason I don't use pliers or even hemostats. I have never worried about the splitshot moving from where I placed it, using the removable type with the little "ears"...."finger-pinch tight" has almost always been just fine. If I thought it was super critical to stay, like on a Carolina rigging, I add a rubber bobber stop. If I need to add weight beyond a single splitshot, I prefer to use the hotdog-shaped lead with the rubber strip embedded. Easily attached with a twist of the line around the rubber strip, and easily adjustable by sliding. They make some quite small ones that are barely bigger than most splitshot.
I also have never "bit" on a splitshot for the very reason that what occurred to you Ranger, would really piss off my parents, having spent all that money on my dental needs as a youth !

Oh well, You probably already have enough lead in your bones.
And there's the fact that lead is toxic, so probably not the smartest idea to be putting it in your mouth
