Absolutely, happy to! So Status Update: the misses did NOT catch a good smallmouth yet. However, me and one of the boys did last night, and he landed his right as his uncle was kayaking by us and he snapped this awesome picture. This is a super cool father/son moment caught on camera... caught one more about 15" as well, pretty fish. Gotta get mama on some smallies tonight if the weather cooperates. Say a wee prayer for big bites for mama...
Have a great day all.

It's a good time - thanks, have a great Sunday!
STATUS UPDATE: She got rained on, kept fishing, got really cold, kept fishing. Saw a double rainbow... but we weren't out in crap weather for rainbows, we were out for fishies, gosh dang it. I was starting to sweat it, because if I kept her out through all of that and she DIDN'T catch a fish... it was going to be a very sour experience. Last thing you want to do is ruin fishing for someone else. Bite was slooooooooow... nothing... nothing...
Then right before the sun went down, a couple nice smalljaws got uppity, grabbed her jig and put her drag to the test. It was just SCREAMING... and all was right with the world.
Hope y'all had a great weekend!

Final update to this thread... mama killed it. Awesome fight, pulled an old EWG out of the mouth of the fish (she broke someone's heart before...) and was released to grow bigger for another angler. Fish was 20" and just under 4 lbs. Absolute unit!
That's a very nice smallmouth bass! Well done team!
Thanks guys - SHE WON! Haha, after a full week of getting skunked, she beat our butts. What a trip! Top 5 fish were a 20", 19", 18" and two 17" smallmouth. All caught between 5 and 12 feet in terms of water depth.
Have a great week!
