Spending the week in South Lake with the family. House we stay at is a 10 min walk to the meadow to have lines wet in the Upper Truckee. 8 little trout yesterday for me, Lahontan Cutthroat, and a little rainbow. Then 3 more each for me and my boy today. Hooked a good one this morning too, but it spit the hook and disappeared!
Got some beautiful little Brookies in a small creek Sunday evening after our arrival as well. Best part of this little creek is sharing a spot with my boy that I used to fish with my buddies when we lived here 30 years ago!

Alright LD. I use to fish there all the tine when we moved there in '76. I've caught 100s of fish out of the Upper Truckee.

Is this an air bnb or family home if you don't mind me asking? My wife and I love camping but would rather just by groceries and gas to stay in a place like that. Of course pay to stay too. Never fished the area. Boy I'm missing out. Thanks for sharing. Bill Martinez

Hi Lucky Dad- If you don't mind I would love to have the same info. I've fished the main Truckee below the lake and the Little Truckee that comes out of Webber Lake, but never where you are fishing. Beautiful Country!

Staying in South Lake Tahoe. The area south of town, off Pioneer Trail, close to Meyers. If you are looking at a map, the Upper Truckee meadow we fish is where the So. Lake Airport is.
