The following is a two part question as they both have to do with food.
Question 1) What food was once so expensive that it was actually rented in the 1700s by people who wanted to show off their wealth.
Question 2) What food containes a protein called Bromelain that actually ( on a very minor scale) destroys the lining of the mouth when eaten.
Just to clarify. For the sake of this question, food is anything that is injested into the mouth and enters the stomach.
This one is very hard to answer. Please is you must look it up, don't ruin the fun of guessing.
By all means weather you know or not post your answers for all of us.
Best of luck.

I agree with Al. That's what I thought of.
Here is the trivia question answer.
First off a Honorable Mention goes to Randy Hartford and Dozer Dave each get one answer correct, however the Trivia Crown 👑 goes to Anthony suikevich for answering both questions correctly.
Yes boys and girls the answer to both is the Pineapple 🍍 In the 16th century the pineapple was so rare and expensive that it was viewed as a depiction of status and wealth, and was actually rented out for dinner parties and social gatherings.
Have you ever noticed a slight tingling sensation in your mouth while eating fresh pineapple? That's a protein called Bromelain that actually, on a very minor scale, destroys the lining in your mouth.
That being said Anthony suikevich enjoy your time off Fame and Glory. You've earned it.
Until the next round of useless, but interesting knowledge,
