Hello all, my name is Tony. I moved to Tony. I moved to Western Colorado a couple months ago and I am having a difficult time finding and catching Bass out here. I also can not find any good sites with fishing reports that are updated weekly. Do you guys and gals have any good info you can pass my way? I truly appreciate it.

Welcome to the Stage, Tony. We do not have a lot of members from the Great State of CO., but Wulffy's comes to mind, he may step up if he sees this post.

Tony...go to the Colorado Parks and Wildlife website and look for the Colorado Fishing Atlas. It's a great resource for all the places to fish in Colorado and lists the various species stocked in the lakes. For fishing reports, try FishExplorer.com.
Good Luck,

Hey, Tony. Check out Ridgeway Reservoir. They have an invasive smallmouth population competing for food with the trout. No limit. I have not yet fished it but CPW wants us to catch and keep all we want. I have caught largemouth out of Highline Lake at Loma. They did find some Zebra mussels last year and drew the lake down to poison them. Boats must be inspected coming and going so allow time for that. Do you have a boat? Talk with the staff. Helpful people. Tight lines.

Hey Tony! I’m also an Iowa transplant, welcome to lovely Colorado. It’s not the Mississippi River but it does have its fair share of bass. I fish Chattfield a lot (it is only a few miles from my house). If you do not have a boat I do. I would be glad to take you out and show you the areas and baits I use. Best fish from Colorado so far has been a 15 lb 11 oz walleye out of Chattfield (while bass fishing). Pueblo also has a solid population of largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass. Both of these lakes get a lot of pleasure boat traffic so it can be a bit frustrating at times. Give me a call and let’s go fishing some time! 720-990-9046
