The naval base has lake that is stocked. There are a couple of parks that you can fish from. If you have a Jon boat or canoe you can fish the back waters for snook, redfish, Mangrove snapper and anything else that is in the waters. Good luck.

Thanks. I can still access topside on base. I'm looking into buying a fishing kayak, but have nothing yet.

There are no snook in Georgia and very, very few Mangrove snapper. You need a more precise report than the one above

That’s not true snook have migrated to South Georgia, north Florida as well as north and South Carolina. Read this article and you mind may be charged. http://georgiafishingreports.blogspot.com/2014/01/mangrove-snapper-fishing-in-coastal.html

Please read Capt. Lotts article again. You will see there is no mention of catching snook because we don’t have snook.
