Good evening. I usually fish Lake Bastrop or Fayette. I am 77 yr old and often launch my Tracker 175 Pro Guide solo with my dog. I am looking for other lake recommendations and fishing reports. Thanks.

Thanks Daryl. I do follow TPWL fishing reports. I like Lake Bastrop for it’s convenient launch and good floating docks. The fish at Tend to be smaller and more finicky. Fayette is a larger lake and can be crowded but the bass are larger in general. I am just looking for other options.

Hi GMG,
Lake Conroe is right up the road and has bass. Bring your lil fur buddy and your boat. There are a few marinas to launch from off 105 and a Recreation area off FM 1097 @ Scotts Ridge. Under the bridge has been good for me as well as the creeks off the lake.
