Welcome to the stage, do you mean San Luis Pass? If so on the Freeport side of the San Luis Pass you can enter Christmas Bay from a couple of kayak launch sites, some good fishing 🎣 for specs, reds, Flounder among other species. Google Christmas bay launch sites. Good luck and tight lines
might try Salt lake near Bastrop bayou they have a kayak launch ramp it better in the fall of year salt lake empties into Nick's Lake. good in the fall its so hot that it's a hit and miss any place. deep cuts near the pass this time of year are the best near mud cut or bird island there a good put in spot on brazoria county side of the pass to get to mud cut or bird island . just a reminder be careful in pass area many have died trying to fish pass area
I fish in a Sportsman PDL 120. It would be a drive for you but since I started fishing at the Anahuac Wildlife Refuge in Galveston east bay I haven’t been going any place else. Plenty of specks and flounder along with Ben big red fish around big pasture island. The only drawback is that on windy days it is hard to fish. Good luck to wherever you end up.
Yes sir sound like a place I will add to my bucket list. Thank you 😊
Hi there txfishboy, I also just got into kayak fishing. Even have a brand-new Seaspray 120PD that's never been in the water yet. Wife doesn't want me to go alone (Good safety rule - never kayak solo), so I'm always looking for someone to hook up with. I'm retired so can go just about anytime. Give me a shout if you might be interested. My email is tx380514@yahoo.com.
