Next Spring my brother and I are looking to do some charter fishing on eather Lakes Earie or Michigan. We're looking for the most economical option.
We live closer to Lake Michigan. I'm in Lafayette Indiana about 100 miles from the lake. My brother is in Portage Indiana, easy driving distance.
The species saught after are Lake Trout on Michigan or Walleye on Earie.
Awhile back I met a charter Captain who charges 600 for eight hours Walleye on Lake Erie. Is this a good price?

That’s cheaper than any charter I’ve ever done
I take that back I’ve took some bass charters in Florida a little cheaper but that was before gas skyrocketed but that sounds like a fair price for now

My charter of choice would be J in Cleveland. But that's just me.
Hopefully one of these days I'll make it up there.

My buddy went up last year with his school buddy's and loved this place. I haven't personally fished or stayed here. good luck Commander Bell 👍
You might try Castaway Fishing Charter out of Monroe MI for walleyes.
I've on 2 Lake Erie Walleye charters and I think it $600 each time. There were either 5 or 6 of us on each.
But,this was about 4-5 years ago.
Take a look at fishingbooker.com for current availability and pricing.
Good Luck

I actually looked up this site last night, a saw this picture. Is this a pix of you?

No that’s actually about the going rate for Lake Erie! It all depends on how long you wanna be out there,, hell it’s possible you limit out in 3-5 then you’re done unless you start perch fishing, which would be a question I’d ask when talking to them.
No it's not me. Cast A Way fishes out of a 21' Ranger walleye boat which is fine for 2 people in calmer waters. But if you want a larger more comfortable boat, check out La Chasseur also out of Monroe MI. They offer a 6 hour trip at a good price.
Out of St. Joseph, MI hook up through The Fishin Hole. Charlie can give a variety suggestions and great captains to go with - 269-982-3474. In the Spring? Then you want Coho! The best eating fish in Lake MI but any charter can help you target Lakers if that is what you really want.
We booked with Captin Joe , fish on charter for last April, $200.00 deposit down. Lake was to rough to go go out on ,so he called an said not to come. Tried to reschedule for next year . He wouldn't give me a date. Ask for refund an he would not even respond to my request for refund. So I got burned for $200.00 . I realize weather was a factor but.......

Yes sir Triple Catch Charters is one I checked out.
Looks good 👍
As luck may have it my brother ran into a client of his that has a small boat on Lake Michigan that does part time charters. He offered to take us May of 2024.
Hears my Fishing agenda for the reminder of the year.
August I'll concentrate on Channels and taking the grandkids Blue Gill fishing.
September Northern Pike fishing on a private lake ( big pond) in Kalamazoo then again in late March just after ice out.
April back to the local ponds.
May charter on Lake Michigan. June back to the locals with the chillans. Then starting all over again.
Life is good being retired.
