Very nice brook trout! Way to go and I'm glad to hear that your season is off to a great start this year!

I did good last year, 5 trips to the beach, 5 keepers. 4 of them were from shore 1 from a boat trolling live bait. Keep at it. I used chunked mackerel for bait tight on bottom. Posted a couple pics here.
Which bridge is that behind you?
Although chunk mackeral is often the most used, this time of year check with your bair shops and just ask if squid is more plentiful in the waters you fish,, or is mackeral the better choice. THere are times of year when squid is abundanct and stripers much prefer that, even if some maceral are around (and earlier than mapckeral buildup)
At the rocks on the left side in Wallis sands beach over o ran boulevard in Portsmouth. I caught yesterday the biggest stripper ever
David,
Have you tried Thomas Point, near Brunswick Maine? about an hour and 15 minutes from you. I like to get there an hour and a half before high tide. And I usually use worms. Johnson’s bait shop is just a few min away, opens at 8:30am. Call 1st to check if they have worms on the day you plan to fish.
Good luck us know how are you do. Martin in Maine
