Went carping in 86 degree Colonial Lake this evening on a hot, humid, cloudy day with a light south wind and nearby flooding thunderstorms. Threw out a can of corn 🌽 for chum, then caught and released two bluegills and a 14.25” brown bullhead with corn bait on 12 lb test line. I’m applying for my fifth NJ Skillful Angler Recognition Award 🥇 for this year with the catfish.

I think they should give you a new Mitchell 300, but I don't think they make them anymore. I don't think they have made them for many years.

I bought my Mitchell 300 in the early 50s when they first came out. I paid $32.95 for it at Graham & Mcgoria in Winona, MN. Money that I had made from selling helgramites at $.50 a doz. and nightcrawlers for $.25 a doz.
