The first fish was on a Booyah jr. Straight nosed frog pearl white belly and brown back. It's caught hundreds of bass last year and this year . I do add some flashh-a-boo to the legs. The rest were all caught on a small Truscend frog black with a yellowish head ,they have decent hooks and alot of the time the hooks turn out of the frog which helps the hook up stay in. Don't let the the small size fool you they hold good , never had a hook break or bend and I horse them thru some very thick cover once hooked ., I also use the large Truscend frogs and they smash this frog as well, the hook up is good and it's a beast in heavy pads. Thanks for the response Andy hope this helps? 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲

What kind of technic do you use ?
I like to roll my wrist when I'm popping it kind like a S tight S especially around docks.
Have a great 4h of July and a safe one

Likewise Andy, looking forward to next year and looking forward to some evening fishing you guys talked about. I will trying some frogs out around here in the next few weeks.

I got the urge for salt first though. Need some striper action after that 1 jumper bass I had.

Hey Bob, I saw this picture from the Cape and thought of you in the salt.

Fred something that size i am in amazement how I would get it in the yak. Obviously would have to tire it out first but I think I would be as beat as the fish. Probably pull me in.

Started the day off mending frogs , then mowed the grass, and said to myself I think I'll go fishn' since I haven't been out for awhile🙄 . It was raining when I got to the lake but no wind and warm got 6 tonight . My last two were at 9 pm and 9:09 what a way to finish up the day. The pics are a little blurry since I didn't have my camera on my holder because of the rain. So I was one handing it while holding up a 4.8# bass. That and the daylight was going fast and the camera was trying to focus after I hit the button. All but one on my tiny black frog ,and had really great hooksets deep and in the roof of the mouth( perfect) because I had to really drag them thru some slop and pads.🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲

That’s awesome Andy……I have caught some lunkers in the pads but so far only with weightless worm or lizard…..still haven’t gotten the strike on top with the frogs……🤷‍♂️……nice pics!!

I suppose you could work your way up to it Bob, with a little practice. I see tons of pictures like that every summer up here.
I think getting a "Nantucket Sleigh Ride" helps tire out the fish, after that it's just Smile for the Birdie.

Definitely willing to practice Fred as long as they don't take me out beyond the bay bridge.

With the seal population on the Cape, and the resulting population of great white sharks, you better be very careful where you fish in a yak. Bob.

Tenique? Well that's a long discussion . But first and foremost I light my cigar part of the tenique . How I move it all depends on what the bass want that part of the day and it may change thru out the day. But basically I cast to a spot not just out into the water or against a bank or out into the pads. There are spots that hold fish and the frogs going there not just random casting. Let the frog sit there until the ripples die completely, the first subtle twitch is the money maker. If nothing happens then twitch 3 times and let it soak for 10-15 seconds. Most times the next ten feet is most productive however strikes can and do come at anytime. My actual cadence and speed I can't really explain I go by feel and watch the water around the frog very closely because i can sense a fish moving by doing this. Alot of times I use my reel to apply the twitching and that changes depending on which reel I'm using at the moment , I switch between 3different combos through the day , again just by intuition . I do not walk- the-dog as most of my little frogs don't take to kindly to that tenique and when in the pads it's rip and tear as I move my frog through the jungle like a little critter scooting up and over the pads. Trying to explain much more is really hard because I just do what I feel is right at the time and occasionally I catch a Bass. Sorry I can't give more indepth info hope this gives you some ideas of what I do?? I'll try to answer anything I can.🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲

That thought is always on my mind when in the salt Jimmy. Not at the top of the food chain when we don't know what's under water.

Doing well Andy, planning on some striper action weather pending on Wednesday after all the water sports are out of the way.

Hope your 4th goes well too. Just sent you a text if you want to bend my ear.
