Finally made it back on the water a week and a half after my truck (Recovered 6/15) and trailer (Recovered 6/29)were stolen on 6/14.
We had a good day taking home 6 Halibut, 1 Striper-7pound, 1 Sand dab. We released 1 striper, 1 bat ray and 1 Dungeness crab.
I caught a PB 35”, 17 pound Halibut, surprisingly it didn’t fight much and I thought it was undersized until we saw it next to the boat.
We drifted live bait on Halibut rigs, we fished around Alcatraz and Angel island in 50’ to 10’ of water.

That's Awesome K. Beautiful fish and a happy ending to a bad situation. Glad to see everything was recovered, and functional. Thanks for sharing.

Nice looking 'buts, KK! Good to hear you were able to recover your vehicle. Hope it wasn't too damaged, if at all.

Great catching K Krew ! Lots of great meals there ! Thanks for the photos and very glad you got your Truck & Trailer back 👍🤙
Great catch. !!! Do you bottom bounce when drifting for them?? I suppose they are ambush feeders as the flounder on this coast are. I would guess too that clear water is the key. What is the size limit for Halibut in CA? Flounder limits in MD and VA are 4 fish @ 16" minimum
Glad to hear you recovered both your boat and trailer, hopefully in good shape!
We bottom bounce when drifting, minimum size for California Halibut is 22”

Nice work K Krew! Sorry to hear about your truck and trailer, hope they were returned in the same condition.
Nice got truck and trailer back without damage, and a good day on the water (nice fish). You still launching at Emeryville 🤔

Thats great, rarely you get them back in the same condition. I launch out of Berkeley, pretty much the same area as Emeryville. I will say that the Emeryville marina is a lot nicer.
Thanks for the pictures, fishing information and update on your truck and trailer. I hope they weren’t damaged too much.
Nice!!! Glad you got everything back and had a GREAT DAY of Catching!
