Here's my fishing update from May to June. Had a great time in Hatteras NC fishing for Red Snapper, and the went to New Rochelle NY to catch porgie's and one black Seabass, then went to Brielle NJ to fish for only black Seabass. I'm a Deacon in my church and now my Pastor is interested in starting a Fishing Ministry for the Men. I'm heading back to Hatteras NC in October for two day of fishing on the Miss Hatteras Headboat.
WOW...spectacular catches! Thank you for posting the update on your fishing trips and have fun organizing your church's men's group for fishing!

Lov, You sure stuffed a lotta porgies in the cooler in that last photo. ππΌ .
The Fishing Ministry sounds like a great idea, there are enough Bingo nights already, I'm sure. I have a question, though, why only men ? I'm sure you must have ladies who would enjoy this as well, and the guys probably would enjoy their company.
This was geared towards the Men's Ministry, but I will bring that idea up in the next leadership meeting because we've included the sisters in the Super Bowl party and we all had a wonderful time fellowshipping. Thank for you for your idea, much appreciated ππ, I'm the primary fisherman in the whole church

Then you know what you're getting info, but that's what leaders must do. Kinda reminds me of my participation in my Veterans group. Membership comes up with ideas, and often it's "I bet he can handle this", while they're lookin' at me. Next thing and, here's the tough part, is finding help with the details that I can't do all at the same time. Lots of ideas, but not so much assistance. But I manage, and am mentoring a few people to replace me, as I now have limited mobility due to some medical issues.
Years ago, when I accepted a seat on the executive committee and the Chaplaincy, I though I would be focusing on some specific duties and policy making. NOT. But I'm not unhappy about it, just slowing down as I advanced through the years. They understand and respect this, so it's all OK.
Good Luck . . .

Brielle, the Big Jamaica & Jamaica II, my favorite party boats before moving to NC. Party boats down here are run different. Jesus's first recruits were fishermen!
NICE!!! Looks like you had a lot of fun.
