Itโ€™s a river near Biloxi Mississippi. Pronounced Choo tah Caboofa. Like a lot of rivers around the country given Native American names. ๐Ÿ‘

Some of the best food in New Orleans can be found on this street running through the French Quarter. The street got its name from a now-extinct Native American tribe cรดte des Chapitoulas meaning those who live by the river.

It's a result of a native American saying it, and a Frenchman repeating it.
