Perch are red hot this is my grandson with a couple nice ones. 1/32 white crappie jugs and add crappie nibbles out at lieghtin springs in 12-10’ of water.
Forgot. We got approximately 60 in 2 hours fishing time
Kept enough for the camp fish fry tonight.

AWesome!!! Are they as good eating as yellow perch and crappie? Those 2 and walleye are my favorite fresh water fish to eat :-)
awesome and also, great to make your grandson happy

We are going to Mammoth this weekend. Did you fish from the bank or from a boat. Always heard about the Perch fishing in Crowley but never tried it. Looks like it's worth a try. Thanks for any additional info.

Excellent! First mention of sacramento perch I've seen anywhere ever. Nice catch! Thank you!

Anyone can see, these are not crappie, blue gill, or bass. Sacramento Valley native perch.
They are better than crappie in my opinion.
Some nice boneless fillets for the fryer.
I take my boat. White crappie jigs with crappie nibbles added do the trick. Bank fishing for them is tough because if all the weeds. Tube fishing at Leighton springs at the north end in 10’-12’ of water just past the weed line would be perfect. they are spawning in droves right now. 25 fish limit on em.
