Update: Truck was recovered last night in Oakland I went and checked out today, they only broke the ignition, took all the fuse box relays and fuses and stole some tools behind back seat.
Boat is parked in a Marina slip for the Month.

That's good news K. Who the heck steals fuses and relays? Hopefully your insurance gets it repaired and back to you soon.
Let me take wild guess because on my way home from work I saw cops in front of a dark color truck on E.9th and 36th.
We been having problem with all the homeless that came from wood st. I can’t stand this area no more trying to find a place better than here
Glad to hear you got it back!!

Fred.... I'm pretty sure the thief isn't a budding electronics experimenter building some bench test gear.
Maybe along with the stolen tools, he/she is heading to a pawn shop to grab a couple of bux ?
I was in one recently, and bought a few selected metric box wrenches. I was amazed by what I saw available & what deals were being made. One guy came in to pawn what were obviously contents of somebody's shed or garage. In a wheelbarrow! Watched him leave the parking lot on foot. Cops don't bother with this stuff, and that's one reason that thefts are so rampant . I realize they have other stuff to attend to, but surely there are slow periods when they could go in, examine the log book, and make a few inquiries. ? ! ? .

I don't know of any pawnshops that will buy fuses and relays Maxx. If he needed them, it's easier to shoplift them at an auto parts store, than to risk a grand theft charge. Then again, NO ONE ever said thieves were very intelligent.

Happy you got your truck back! Hopefully insurance covers the rest! That's relief and hopefully they find the boat trailer.

Out here they drive with a hot sheet and when they spot a vehicle to nice to be in area in front of a basically homeless RV they run the vin I see it all day long out here first hand there so many stolen vehicles out here it’s overwhelming. He got lucky normally there stripped same day then dumped along track(behind me) I’ve seen over 6 Chevy trucks at one time out there. Oakland is off the hook.

Fred, you gotta see this place I wuz in. It's in Cromwell, right next to the UPS store in the vicinity of the KFC & the old K Mart. Was a great place to find my wrenches, biggest couple of boxes full I've ever seen.
Incredible amount of stuff they'll prolly never sell, reminds me more of a flea market than a pawnshop.
Sadly, I was gonna poke around in Wild Bill's while I was in the area, but it's been closed. Now that was a cool place.
But to your last point, they may lack intelligence, but some of them make up for it by being pretty crafty, and sneaky too, except in the bigger cities, where they just do it with impunity. I shake my head in amazement when I read about how the cops just watch them loot. Whaaaaat ?

Sounds like a cool place Maxx. I can't get over letting people walk out of Walmart on Home Depot with a full cart!
Alameda Rockwall is another high theft area. But over there ppl get strong armed for their gear too
