My Grand Father Robert Mitchell was forced of a farm in the Kansas city area when my dad Jack Keith Mitchell was just a small boy. Dried up in the dust bowl years. The farm not my Dad. Don't know if he did any fishing out there or not maybe Mudcats haha.

A lot of lakes, powerplant and reservoirs across the state now.

Still have dusty spots.

Welcome Bob. I'm a newbee also, more or less. Live in Washington. I get a kick out of you young kids, I'm just short of 85 and still get out on the water, wading, shore, or boat. Fishing here has pretty much shut down until mid April except for the big rivers, which I don't really enjoy. Spending my time now tieing flies and building or repairing rods. Tight lines everyone.

Welcome Bob you youngun. At 71 I find it hard to be a newbee at anything. I frequent OBX. Where are you wetting lines?
Don't mess with grandpa and his kayak. Not cool.

I'd like to fish with all you guys. Maybe you could show me what I'm doing wrong. Very seldom catch any fish except for catfish.

Welcome Bob! I look around at work and realize I could be half the employee’s dad and most of the other half’s granddad. It’s starting to feel good to be a youngster on here!

I'm in Currituck County NC. 45 minutes in opposite directions north to Virginia Beach, south to The outer Banks. Rivers, Sounds, intercoastal waterways connecting them all together..i can put my boat in the water 1/2 mile from my house and go anywhere in the world. Yet I cant get in the boat anymore due to physical damage in my metal back. Yeah yeah I know... whinny baby...
