Spent the morning trying to access the river somewhere and ended up walking a ways up river from the state park there. Fished all morning from the bank using swim baits with no luck. Switched to blood worms and started catching nothing but small stripers. Nothing bigger than 16 inches. So our spot wasn’t real great.
Any suggestions where to go would appreciated.

We used to anchor the boat about 20 feet from the bank and 75-100 feet upstream from the boat ramp at the state park. We used chunks of sardine for bait and did really well.
