Any info on fishing potholes?
I was there 2 weeks ago we fished the crab creek area. did catch 6 walleye which we froze and took home also caught 3 large mouth in the 14-15" range but non over 17" so no keepers and one 13" small mouth. we were not fishing for bassbut that were fun to catch. we were mostly using worm harnesses and the gulp worms that come in those little jars and their swimming mullets did better than live worms for us this time but that is not always the case
Large mouth the limit is 5 under 12" and only 1 over17". Small mouth limit is 10 and only 1 over 14" .

yes and our largemouth were all over 12 but under 17. but we were only keeping waleye this trip anyway. I really think they are one of if not the best eating fresh water fish however I also like steelhead
I agree there not the best tasting I prefer walleye my self I live next to pot holes state park so I can target them every day little slow right now but once the water drops it will get better
by the way I see you are from Othello so you most likely fish those waters alot more than I do. have you fished any of those seep lakes below the dam at potholes? they look like they could be a good place to try when the wind keeps you off of potholes, but I never tried any of them
They can be pretty good Soda lk has good walleye and so does long lk, when it comes to trout I prefer fishing the resavour for the big 5lb trout
Lynn Cooley can be good walleye fishing also
