Blues biting on metal jigs with tube, also rubber minnows or shad like rubbers , and also minnow bombers at Manasquan Inlet ,N J. They were hitting for most of the day, high and low tides. If your lures had long rubber tails on them, use the short tails as the blues were biting the tails and not the hooks. Alot of misses.

Good luck, I also tried finger mullet and salted clams, not a bite on them, alot of seaweed if your on the bottom. Let me know how you do.

Had them all day there too yesterday in the rain. A mix of sizes from 2 to 8 pounds bucktail with twistertails for me. Point pleasant canal was good too. Alot of fun. Fished island beach today. Zero

I'm going to go to manasquan tomorrow morning,probably there around 9am, high tide is going to be around 12:30, so I should get a little of low and high. I'm going to go to Dicks today, I want a couple of lures, a long A bomber and a sinking shad of some sort.

Just white 1/2 or 3/4 oz with 5 inch white rubber twister tails.

I don't think I'll get out to far with that weight, I was using 2 oz diamond jig with tube tail before, I got out pretty far, would like to keep the weight around the same. Did you see anyone using bombers?

Only on low tide with the bombers. I was fishing my daiwa 4500 with 30 pound braid. I casted completely across the canal and 1/3 of the way across the inlet.
