Northern lower mich crappies.

I’m in the Cadillac area and am trying to find a few crappies. I can catch them after work around the docks during the spawn but I hate to disturb the fish then, even after catch and release they are stressed.
New waters to explore might be a great thing.

Boat guy 1959..
Tomahawk flooding is full of Crappies. Try SW of the standing timber…. In summer just drift across weed beds with a jig and plastic. Better do it this year because I heard a few of the floodings in Northern Michigan are going to be drained and dams removed by the DNR. After dams failed near Midland a few years ago, state had dams inspected and found a lot of them unsafe… so they are being removed basically…and lakes will revert to rivers
