My son is a Cider guy. I make my own. Pineapple is best. Just Apple or Pineapple juice add wine yeast and airlock. It’s really GOOD.

I heard it on a radio talk show many years and never thought it was real, just a joke. So I looked it up and found it was a real thing, only the real stuff is spelled Dickens not Dickins.

Man, I'm slow. Had to say it out loud (well, whispered) as nutz reccomended, 4 times. I too make my own hard cider (apple) but have never thought of incorporating another fruit like pineapple as Jeremy suggested. Will def. have to play with that.

DC, It looks like not many are seeing the joke here. So let's take a chance of shooting it upstairs or getting it pulled off the site :
1st Pronounce the first four letters
2nd Pause
3rd Pronounce the rest as one word, with the emphasis on the second syllable.
4th Repeat as necessary until ya get it.

Got it first read. They also say that if you ever have a sore muscle that you should “soak it in cider” for instant relief. Believe me it actually works…😂🐟on

Just plain pineapple juice with the yeast in it it ferments very fast. I usually add a little sugar to serve it because it’s really dry. Apple Cider I add a few tablespoons of dark brown sugar it adds a great flavor. I just ferment right in the plastic food grade bottles it comes in. It’s kind of flat but really good. The Apple cider is ready good with a shot of fireball added.

When I was a young apprentice carpenter, one day I hammered my thumb real good. One of the journeymen told me to "Go soak it in cider. You'll be alright in a little while"

There is a place in Barryville N.Y.( just over the PA. border) called the Stickett Inn. They sell their own cider, Stickett Inn cider. Best served warm.
