Good morning Stagers , Akers’s I live on the crystal coast here in Hampstead. I fish from Wilmington on down to Morehead. Sometimes up to Virginia. Once you leave the Triad area there no lakes but the Neuse. I can only help with saltwater.

Carolina and Kure are my favorite places to fish. Unfortunately my Uncle died, his condo sold and I have not been back for many years. The lakes I cannot help you with. Look up a bait shop and ask them, maybe they can help.

Aleese lake Harris and lake Jordan are near you and Falls lake is not too far from you. They are east and south east of you. If you want to go west there are a lot of lakes back toward Charlotte. Hyco lake is north of you near Roxboro. If you are going to the coast Google tackle stores in Willmington and I am sure someone can help you or you can check YouTube and there are hundreds of videos there on the fishing on the coast of NC. By the way Morehead is north of Wilmington.
