I have a hummingbird 898c si and it will not complete the boot cycle, hummingbird says it is outdated and they cannot do anything about it. It will boot till the first page comes up which gives the warning about data and it gets stuck there. All of the buttons light up but none will work not even the poweroff. I have tried all of the connections and unplugged all of the extra stuff.Nothing I do will make it work. I hope some of the readers will be able to help me I cannot afford to buy another fishfinder.

Does it do anything if you hold the power button down for several seconds at that point? I think the memory is full so it can’t really boot because it needs some free space to think. It’s like old guys like me when I try to THINK nothing happens
Does it have an SD card? Is it pushed all the way in?
yes and i have taken them out also
no sir it dont matter none of the buttons work. It tells you to hit the menu button or the exit button and they dont work, the power button dont work either.

YES! Windows is the champ at it.
I wish I could help. That kind of service is why I no longer buy Hummingbird.
