I am new to this area, and new to fishing in FL. My experience has been fishing in MA and Maine. I am in FORT PIERE and would appreciate info as to where to go to fish (from land), what bait to use, and what fish are likely to be caught. I am not particualry looking for any one type of fish, just any fish for the sport of it. And I catch and release, unless occassionally I want to eat the fish, and know it is a legal take and not a scarce fish. THanks so much, fishing here is much different than up North, but the variety here is exceptional vs. the north.
Fish either the Fort Pierce Inlet or off the beach. Use shrimp for starters. Should catch whiting( awesome eating) , croaker( good eating), pompano among others plus enjoy a day on the beach. Win Win.
