Any tips for fishing
Boat or shore? It can be a tough lake, but the little cove by the side of the parking area can do well casting Kastmasters in blue/chrome, or the copper firetiger pattern, that copper back tiger pattern was a go to for me for a long time.
Thanks to all who replayed.

That lake hasn’t been stocked in over 2 years, neither has anything in El Dorado county
Thank you for the response.
If were talking about trout, fishing will be slow until they plant the lake. I spoke with fish and wildlife this week. They indicated that trout planting will be later this year due to high river and stream levels and water clarity in lakes. They will begin planting in May. If you're fishing from shore Kastmasters or power bait with a sliding sinker are your best bets. If you're trolling from a boat, use a watermelon dodger followed by a half large nightcrawler14-18 inches back. Add a 1/8 oz sliding sinker in front of your dodger to get you presentation to the right level. Fish at 20 feet of water around the edge of the lake.
Pardee and Amador plant their own fish. There are fish there now. Comanche also has fish in the lake and in their south shore pond. Looks like Amador is the most productive at this time.
