Looking for best place to fish in or around Boston. Love Bass but would still settle for all species. What's the best bait used up here to catch Bass? Thanks in advance.

closest place to you is probably Jamaica Pond. this time of year I'd try a purple lizard.

If your looking for stripers the Charles river behind north station is full of them further north there are carp, bass and pike

Have you, Hawk1961, ever personally caught a Northern Pike, from the Charles River? Or see or know someone?
I’m in Worcester, but chase Northerns. And Tiger Muskie.
I’m guessing there are 15-25 pounders there now.
I wanted to fish it all winter, but a slipped disc, multiple times, took away my whole year.
Thanks for that info.

I have not but my brother caught a few in Waltham nothing anywhere near that big! I think the concord river is better for pike, I catch them as by catch as I usually target bass.

How recently have you fished for striper behind North station and the Charles River for the month of May? Have you gone recently and caught anything?
