My buddy went by Woods Canyon yesterday and sent me some pics, still alot of ice on and around the lake.

Last weekend the roads were closed going into woods canyon and Willow springs lake except for the sardine point entrance about a half mile after the Willow springs lake turn off it's a dirt road

I would say since it's been a week with some sunshine that at least half of the lakes will not be iced any longer maybe more

Anyone planning to fish any of the Rim Lakes soon. Who's been up there already, what were the roads like?

The gate is open to Willow springs lake but the one to woods canyon is still closed as of yesterday Saturday. Fish for about 4 hours didn't get a bite didn't catch anything was pretty windy but no more ice on the lake

Fished Willow Springs today, not much luck on the east side but ended up catching 4 by the boat ramp. Broke line on a really nice one. All fish were on nightcrawlers from the shore and released to play another day! One of the fish had a 3" piece of a rubber worm in its throat, that's a new one for me!!
