So i wanna catch some fish! But I must being doing something wrong.....or probably many things wrong. I fish regularly in the Halifax and have now for 3 years with a whopping 3 catches under my belt. 1 tiny yellow fin croaker, one blow fish, and a baby stingray. Impressive, I know but I'm wanting to catch my dinner. I'm wanting fish I can take home and make a meal with or at least a nice fish sandwich, ya know? So please help me I'm hungry. And I know to catch a fish so many things must be right, i.e., time of day, water temp, wind, weather conditions, the tide, the moon, your bait. And so on and so on. Tell me when and where in Ormond/Daytona am I most likely to catch and fish. And what to use for bait. To catch a fish to eat for dinner tonight would make my day! My WEEK! MY YEAR!
If successful will post pics of catch AND dinner. :)
Go directly to a bait shop, they will help you for whatever area you are in. Best of luck.

thank you thank you. I'll let you know. tanya
Try the High Bridge. That is at the North county line in Ormond Beach on the I.C.W. Manley at night with a light just above the water line. Use live shrimp. Good luck.
I live in Ormond Beach.
I surf fish a lot, we did great on the bluefish back in the winter (caught over 40 one afternoon in January) and have been doing well with whiting lately.. I fish the area from Ormond By the Sea north to Flagler. They have been catching Pompano up in St Augustine and Jacksonville the last couple of weeks. Swing by Citrus Surf shop on A1A about a mile north of the Publix in Ormond by the Sea. He sells good quality frozen bait and has good local surf fishing knowledge.
