looks like a mangrove on a high shrimp diet (the red tint)
Almost looks like a tilapia, but what do i know? Nice fish whatever it is!
Here is a Mayan Cichlid for comparison. This was caught on Merritt Island in the veterans park waters south of the mall. I'm told they are very good table fare. 🎣⚓️

Thanks…caught another on today. I am fishing a channel off Sykes Creek just down from Veteran’s Park.
that is a Mayan Cichlid not a snapper at all. Very good eating through. If you have a smart phone do yourself a favor and download the Fish Rules App. This gives you a photo of all species you will catch in Florida as well as up to date regulations where you are in the state, as well as federal regulations also. It is all free.

Looks like a kind of Tilapia.
I was fishing in Florida the last 10 days, not familiar with all the species. Bait shop employee showed me an APP caked “Picture Fish”. Very useful and free to use do first 14 days to try it out.
I find Google photos very helpful. If you have a picture of something that you want to know what it is I find it to be very accurate and useful. I usually crop the picture so that the item is the main thing in the picture, and then have Google photos search for it.

BASED ON THE SMALL MOUTH AND SPOT ON IT'S TAIL, A MEMBER OF THE CHICLID FAMILY, LIKE A BLUEGILL.
