Spring is here and Catfishing fever is on. Any reports on catfishing in Utah Lake or the tributaries at Utah State Park?
I hear the cats are bitting aready, but the walleye and white bass a little tight lipped. I love Lincoln Beach and they say the water is high enough to launch there now. It should fill up this year so I can get back in the brush and wrestle the cats out.

My son and I on our first outing of the season out of Utah State Park last Saturday, the 6th. We fished from 12:30 to just before 6 pm under various conditions - light wind, partly sunny, and short sleeves to 20 mph winds, light drizzle and chilly. Water temp was 59.5 to 61.9 degrees and fished in 6.5' to 8' of water, drifting with the wind. Cut White Bass was the bait. We caught seven - 2-25", 2-27" and 3-28". 3 of those were caught from 1:35-2:15, one around 3:40, and 3 from 4:40 to 4:55. Picture is my youngest son with 2 of the 28 inchers. Looking forward to the next trip out.
