Could anyone please tell me if the skip jacks run below the Cherokee Dam and is it a good place to catfish? I would appreciate any help with this that I could get. Thanks

Never fished below Cherokee dam, but Cherokee lake is full of catfish. I would think they would be hunkered down below the dam waiting on chopped up bait. Easy meal.

Thanks for your input, I think you are right. I’m going to try it tomorrow and see what happens. If I do any good I’ll post a picture of them.

Well no luck bellow Cherokee Dam. It might have been because the water level was low and fluctuating . Another guy caught two small trout fishing under the bridge. Just thought I’d share.

In the upper part of the lake up to the John Sevier Dam in the Holston, I heard the cats are hitting.
