Came to fish this lake for 4 days from Pennsylvania. Caught nothing but blue gill in first 2 days. Tried off shore bank, off a pier, creek side and fly in a creek. Any suggestions?
You have to remember that most of the lakes in Tennessee are man made and there isn't a lot of cover for the fish along the shore... especially since they drop the lake levels down 20 to 30 feet in the winter. Boats are the way to go to fish the docks and areas where trees have fallen in.
Thank you! We will be sure to rent a boat next trip. Little surprised about lack of fish in the fly fishing areas too. But Gorgeous views and scenery though!
