After 2 plus years I finally got to fish. Friday the Temps got up into the lower 70's. No such luck on Saturday, the day that I was so lucky to get to fish. We arrived at the pond about 6:30am. I step out of the car and was greeted with winds of 20 to 30MPH and a temp of 36°. Our go home temp. was 48°.

I'm, not done yet.

Now I'll finish.
Normally my youngest son is 1st to catch a fish, not this time. My 10 year old grandson caught the 1st fish 🐠. It was a wide mouth bass and the only bass caught. The rest of the fish caught were green sunfish. I ended up catching 3 sunfish, my grandson caught 4, my daughter in-law caught 4, my son caught 9 and a family friend got 11. I'd say it was a good day except for the cold 🥶.
For me, I had one hell of a time with my hands.

And how, dinner was scrumptious. But here it's Monday and I'm still trying to thaw out.

I’m glad you were able to stick it out and catch some TC! You’re a better die hard than me. 30mph winds and 36* would definitely have sent me home, but I see your motivation with all the family and good friend. 🥶 Stay after them it will warm up

Hey, TC! Welcome to the happiest family of fishin folks around! Based on your profile address, I'm thinkin maybe Smithville Lake? Regardless, getting to fish after a long no-fishin spell is good for the soul. Especially with grands. Keep after it and keep those kids fishin! 🎣
