New to the page, interested in fishing the northern Colorado lakes looking to get acquainted with lake fishing. Originally from Missouri where I fished the big rivers

Probably going to start with Carter lake. I like crappie, bass, trout pretty much anything. Fishing from a 18 ft. Semi V aluminum boat tracker grizzly 1860 75hp merc. Boyd lake is only about 11 miles away as well. I hear Boyd lake is good for Walleye
Boyd is great for Walleye also White bass, Large crappie,Perch,Large Mouth,Channel Cat's even some big Trout.
Carter has some great Walleye's also along with trout,Large Mouth,Small Mouth and others.
Check around there are a'lot of other great lakes in the same area some big and a few small ponds that have some good catch'in going on also.
